Updating a 70 s split foyer
Re-doing my staircase is something I wanted to do the minute I moved into my house – that was 17 years ago.
I have always yearned for hardwood steps and white painted risers. The carpet held up extremely well all that time, but after seeing so many successful stair makeovers on so many blogs, I decided it was worth a shot, plus it was actually a whole lot cheaper than having them cleaned! I always thought since my home was a builders spec house that the steps had no bull-nose.
But now 15-30 years later, are we stuck with a bunch of tear downs?
House plans with interior photos remain in demand, are highly favored and you can be assured we continually strive to provide our customers the best we have to offer in terms of house plans with real interior photographs. No, I can’t afford another house, I’m just thinking. For awhile now I’ve been thinking about the next project. While a city neighborhood full of mid-century ranches and small, independent businesses would be cool and all, it wouldn’t get us the things we’re really yearning for. (And because if more people who like what we like join us, the community will change in ways we’d like.) No, there isn’t the kind of hipster cool we see in Portland: But there’s still a kind of cool.Simplicity and sustainability are ideas we like a lot. It’s just a different kind of old-school cool (now that the ’70s were 40 years ago).
Beautiful and engaging photography provides an everlasting impression and showcases hundreds of house plans in minutes.
